Tutorial: Easy Origami Bookmark

I found this idea on a children's craft site and subsequently found it in several craft books and sites, so while not an original idea, it is fast, simple, a good way to use skinny scraps and a great way to craft with children.

Easy Origami Bookmark by Heather Strenzwilk aka alcesalces

Supplies:
Strip of designer paper or lightweight cardstock measuring 1.75" x 8" (4.5 x 20.5 cm)
Ruler
Pencil
*Scissors or a Paper Trimmer

1) On the underside, measure and mark the strip at the halfway mark: 4" (10.2 cm)

2) Fold from the center one half at a time. The finished product will look like a house from the back and a triangle from the front.

3) If the ends on your finished product aren't even, trim them.

To use the finished bookmark, slip it over the corner of the page!

For this photo I created 2 bookmarks. One is shown from the front and the other from the back. Note: I didn't find this model particularly strong so I reinforced the rear seam with punchies and signed and dated it before I sent it to my friend.

Supplies:
Stamps: Ma Vinci (M), Happy Birthday (gg Designs)
Paper: Making Memories (Red Stain)

Wow very interesting bookmark! I love it and it looks so simple to make. I'm always folding the corners of my page, this would be a great project for me.
