Tutorial: Easiest scalloped border ever

I don't like to spend a lot of time cutting and measuring when I make cards. While I was stamping the other day, I was playing with some circular punches and decided to see if I could make a quick scalloped border- no measuring and no special tools. Card details here.

Supplies: Circle punch (I used 1" punch for the samples), cardstock, adhesive, scissors

1) Punch a few circles from cardstock or DP and cut them in half. If you must- use a ruler to get them exactly even but if you are going to embellish with ribbon or a border the scallops are very forgiving.

2a) Adhere 1 semi-circle halfway across the card.
2b) Adhere 1 semi-circle touching each outer edge (there will be gaps.)

3) Adhere 1 semi-circle over the gap.

4) To hide the "raw" edge, cover with a cardstock layer or ribbon. For the photo a forest green layer and a scalloped square were added.

Oops! Meant the 'cleverness' comment for the scalloped border tutorial...although Craft Critique is a great idea too!

I love your idea. I also love that this could be done with different sized punches for different looks.

What a great idea - this scalloped edging looks great!

Thanks for your comment on my SCS Romantic Paisley card - I just got those two backgrounders as part of my birthday present and this was my first go with them
