Be gone ye muddy tulips!

This is a Squigglefly image drawn by Rich Davis. I colored the flowers with tri-colored pencils and they got a bit muddy. But I did like the card enough to send it to my aunt and uncle as a thank you card.

In other crafty news, my mom bought my daughter a sewing machine. It is really nice- and it was on clearance so it was a great price too! I got to take a few practice runs with it tonight and so far so good! I can see some non-faux stitching in my cardmaking future (along with some quilting.) That's right- I'm going to try a simple doll quilt- better to start small.

Those tulips look as though they were meant to be that colour, they sort of do that in real life as they grow anyway. Good job.

I don't think this looks muddy. I think the colors are gorgeous! Great card. Can't wait to see your sewing projects! (Will your daughter get a chance to use it!?)

I actually like these. They go super well with the paper you chose and they have a bit of a grungy feel which I love. I like it a lot.
