DU2DS- challenge #34 is Easter. I wanted to make an Easter card but I didn't want to use a traditional bunny so I opted for the Daisy Heart which is part of the Sweetpea Sweetheart set from Belinda's Digital Art.
My background is torn strips of cardstock layered on a scrap of white cardstock (great way to stretch a scrap that is almost the right size.) I added some tiny buttons to the flower centers and cut around the heart with deckle edge scissors. The deckle edge leaves a nice white border but was faster than using regular scissors (and it looks kind of cool.) Finally, I took some old alphabet stickers (Fiskars) and colored them with a light colored purple Copic marker. The effect is rather mottled but I like it!
