Deck the Halls

This is the second sample I made for my upcoming review of the Martha Stewart Circle Cutter for Craft Critique. My article will tentatively be published 11/18- I'll post a link when it goes live. The image is from Squigglefly and I have to admit is was nice to be able to print it any size(I printed it in several) and know I could make the perfect circle to cut it out.

One unique thing about this card- you'll see stars. What is so unique about them? I had a template and I cut them out with an X-acto knife. For years I could never cut well with an X-acto until I recently learned the secret- glass cutting mat. I bought one and it is sooooo much easier to cut stuff than on a self healing mat. Yes, things slip and slide more but that is what tape is for!

This is the mat I bought from EK Success. It is heavy (of course) but I like how sturdy it is. I like self healing mats too but I can't believe I never knew how cool a glass cutting mat could be.

This is such a great card Heather! I love the glittered bits on the tree! Great cutting on those stars too! I'll have to try a glass mat and see if I like it better - I have one and never use it!

Fantastic card!!! Looking forward to that link....I'm curious about it...as I'd love an easy to use circle cutter that isn't the pain in the arse that my current one is...and cuts circles a little larger than my current punches.
