Ring Around the Challenges
Today's card is a Sunshine's Stamps double whammy. Today we are hosting a brand new challenge in our SNR group. The autumn wreath image is available FREE. And I'll add that this image is really versatile and a bunch of my teammates colored it in Easter and spring colors and it looks great. The details of the challenge are also on this Sunshine's Stamps blog post HERE.
Challenge #2 is a sketch challenge that we are sponsoring this week from Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays (SSDS33). Some of their super talented DT even used some of Sunshine's Stamps on their samples- so be sure to check it out!
Tomorrow will be a new Squigglefly challenge and I'll have an article published on Craft Critique.

You can make ANY image into an Easter card ;)
DU2DS- challenge #34 is Easter. I wanted to make an Easter card but I didn't want to use a traditional bunny so I opted for the Daisy Heart which is part of the Sweetpea Sweetheart set from Belinda's Digital Art.
My background is torn strips of cardstock layered on a scrap of white cardstock (great way to stretch a scrap that is almost the right size.) I added some tiny buttons to the flower centers and cut around the heart with deckle edge scissors. The deckle edge leaves a nice white border but was faster than using regular scissors (and it looks kind of cool.) Finally, I took some old alphabet stickers (Fiskars) and colored them with a light colored purple Copic marker. The effect is rather mottled but I like it!

Coo Coo for Polka Dots
The sketch I used today was from The Pink Elephant Challenge #59. Robin Willis ROCKS! Isn't this a fantastic sketch? I really do like this sketch.

Cheater!
This is Big Bertha from the Ocean Dweller's collection from Sunshine's Stamps. This is an older image but I couldn't resist! Sunshine's Stamps has some brand new Easter and Spring themed images coming soon- and you'll see a sneak peek from me tomorrow.
I had so much fun with this card.
"Bertha is wearing an eeny weeny polka dot bikini accented with sparling yellow polka dots. Bertha's eye shadow is accented with Glossy Accents and she's cheated and the evidence is still in her mouth. The fancy chocolate was created by a Chocoholic with a stamp from Darcie's and some white liquid applique."

Thanks a Bushel
I have also used DU2DS Challenge #33- no patterned paper. I love making my own backgrounds so I added some texture, ink and faux stitching to my layer.
Who is peeking through my bamboo?
Today Belinda's Digital Art posted a new challenge- make a birthday card in 15 minutes. I actually created this last night, using Panda Lunch from Belinda's line of digital stamps. I love Asian images and this is so unique. I kept it very simple- I was thinking guy card but I guess I wasn't thinking when I made the scalloped edge! I added some dark green Stickles to a few of the bamboo branches. I could have played more but the point of the challenge was to make a card in 15 minutes.
What's that you say? The brads are crooked? Why yes they are. I punched the holes really close together, close to the edge and the poor legs had nowhere to go and are all crammed together. Of course I don't own any black, round brads. Yes, I could have colored plan brads with a Sharpie, but I didn't think of THAT solution until 30 seconds ago ;)

I need to find some transparencies because I want to print on a clear background and overlay Panda Lunch on different handmade backgrounds. I have seen packages of 25 and 50 but I don't think I could use that many in my lifetime unless I buy an overhead projector! Does anybody even use transparencies anymore for presentations? I can't remember the last time I used anything but PowerPoint off a laptop.
I am now off to bed. I have had a sinus headache on and off all day. Hopefully, it is just spring allergies. See what popped up in my garden yesterday? It is my hope that Spring has Sprung- but I'm not holding my breath. I live in Upstate NY- we have had snowstorms in May for goodness sake.
2 Quick Cards
For my second card I used an image from Bugaboo Stamps. I added the "Hoppy Easter" myself. The background paper is courtesy of a never ending piece of Miss Elizabeth paper from eons ago. I bought it because I LOVE polka dots.
Cheering for St. Patrick's Day!
And if you ever, ever wanted to buy anything from Squigglefly- check out the challenge.... nice little discount code...

Sew Fabulous Dress
Today's card features a new Squigglefly image from the Sew Fabulous collection by artist Nina Brackett. I absolutely love the style of this dress. Squigglefly had a new release today and this was my favorite of the new images.
I also used Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #44. I loved the sketch because it is so versatile- I'll definitely use it again in the future!
Tonight was famly movie night at my house and we watched an old Disney movie from 1972 called "Snowball Express". A cute movie and my family enjoyed it. We've been watching older Disney films for the past few months and some of them are excellent- entertaining and family friendly.

Introducing Beth (+ her flowers)
Beth Picking Flowers is available from Belinda's Digital Images. Isn't she cute? I wanted Beth to shine so I kept the rest of the card and embellishments to a minimum.
And of course my husband chose to arrive home from work at 11:49pm so I need to go be a good wife and go ask him about his day. See you tomorrow ;)
Looking Flushed
Welcome to Sunshine Thursday (which was supposed to happen yesterday until my card got flushed!) Actually, yesterday's card had real TP on it, I touched it with a damp hand and wrecked it. So after thinking a lot of negative thoughts about stamping and life in general, I decided to re-do it today.
Today's card features Flushie from Sunshine's Stamps. I trimmed the image so I could create a bathroom for the toilet, paper roll and plunger. The sentiment is computer generated and inside the card says, "Get well soon". The floor was created using a stamp from Starving Artistamps and the wallpaper is DP from Provo Craft.

Sew Loving this Collection
These are brand new- not even in the store yet Squigglefly images. They are part of a new collection called "Sew Fabulous" by artist Nina Brackett. As soon as I got them yesterday (fabulous perk of being on a DT!) I immediately printed them and started coloring. These dresses are totally my thing and I love the sentiments that came with the collection.
I paired these tres chic dresses with SCS sketch challenge #271. I actually printed these 3 dresses together yesterday and when this sketch came out today it was perfect pairing. I kept it clean and simple and stuck with plain papers/ cardstocks. The flower was part of a set of felt flowers from K&Co. that I found at Tuesday Morning over the weekend. This flower is really cool because it has thread on it- like it was stitched so it is perfect with the "Sew Stylish".
If you are wondering where my Sunshine card if because it is "Sunshine Wednesday" on my blog, you can stop wondering. The embellishment on my card get wet accidentally and essentially ruined my card (very ironic). A few minutes later, I came to my senses and decided that I didn't need to quit stamping or sell all my supplies at a garage sale... but I also didn't feel like redoing the card (I believe the term is sulking and I did it well!). I decided to use my pretty colored dresses tonight and tomorrow will be Sunshine Day.
Get Well Soup
Happy Monday! Today's card features a get well soon image from Squigglefly drawn by artist Rich Davis. It was a freebie a few months ago in the SNR Squigglefly forum. I was so "this is NOT my style" when I first saw it, but I made some cards with it and the simplicity of the image is what makes it so great. I also like the 2 tone spoon handle which looks a lot more like a real spoon (especially with some Platinum Stickles).
Speaking of Squigglefly there is a new challenge on their challenge blog. I will be posting my card soon- but go check out what the cards from the DT.
My father in law is recovering from his second knee replacement surgery and I made this card for him. My husband looked at it and sort of sighed. Recognizing that sound (any married women know what I am talking about), I asked my husband if the bow was too much. The issue was the pink soup.
You'll see the new get well card later this week... ;) This one will go into my stash.
My husband made my digital image crafting life MUCH, MUCH easier this morning. We have 2 computers and since we moved into this house in the fall I have complained that I cannot print directly from the laptop. Since my good graphics programs are on the laptop only, printing digis and sentiments requires a jump drive, logging into the 2nd computer and doing extra prep work to print. Now I can print my digis right from the laptop, which is how I did it at the old house and it will save me at least 10 minutes every time I print digis. I am SO excited. I won't mention that have asked for the extra print cable multiple times. I'm just very thankful for easy printing.
Snowman Amnesty Night
There is a story to this card , which by the way I LOVE HOW IT TURNED OUT! Some of you know I am my own worst critic but I can honestly say this is a great card and I had lots of fun making it last night.
Snowman in the Moon is by Squigglefly artist Cheryl Alger. I received it when it was released, colored it and just couldn't get it made into a card. I tried a few things but nothing worked. So I moved forward with life but this colored snowman image haunted me ever time I sat down to stamp. Finally, last night I declared it "amnesty image night" and decided to complete some UFO's (unfinished projects). This is one of them. No challenges, do demands- just something I wanted to create for fun!
The sentiments turned out to be serendipity. I thought I had a snowman or snow related sentiment somewhere and I found these in an old set from Designs Ink'd.
By the way, Squigglefly had a new mini release yesterday- new Mudsie, circular St. Patty's day sentiments, flowers, owls and some new vintage.
Here's (HIC) to you!
Top of the evening to you- Tipsy Mcstager from Sunshine's Stamps- here to celebrate St. Patty's Day a wee bit early. My drink of choice is Goldschlager (even my hair is gold). I have been partying in quite a few challenges:

SFC38- Fun Borders
Go check out SFC38 challenge!
Exciting long weekend at my house- a snow day Friday, swimming Saturday, and my husband's birthday yesterday. To complete the birthday festivities at my parents' house- their electricity went out right before it was time for us to go home. They have an automatic generator so luckily they had some power.
