I promised to post art so here we go. This is actually a sample for an upcoming review to be published on Craft Critique of the Staedtler Hot Foil Pen. I have owned the product for 5+ years and had no idea you could foil ribbon until I saw it on their website. It is very cool. I did waste umpteen yards of ribbon practicing but since I own 10 lifetime supplies of ribbon, I practiced with abandon! I also distressed the edges of the ribbon. Not a fan- but I have never unraveled the edges of ribbon for a card so I had to do it once.
And in typical Heather fashion, threw away the cardstock scraps that this image was on and I do not remember where the cupcake image comes from. I think it might my Cutting Cafe but I can't find it on my flash drive.
And in Heather fashion #2, my daughter bent her glasses yesterday but failed to tell me until it was too late to do anything about it. So I took her to JC Penney right after school to have them re-adjusted. It took the optician about 3 minutes and all was good. Flash forward 2 hours and guess who popped the lens from her newly fixed glasses? Guess where we are heading after school tomorrow? My daughter brings me her glasses and starts, "Mom, this is a really funny story..."
Update: Hubby came home from work and got the lens back into the frame of her glasses. He has earned my thanks, gratitude and it reinforces that I married a great guy!And in Heather fashion #3, I prepared a monthly mailing at work for a customer. It is one of our largest customers and I dread it every month. Sure enough- I have it 3/4 done when they had a change. I made the change and finished it. I was so glad to have finished it so I can get on to the next thing. My manager emailed me tonight that the developer made a major mistake and the customer missed it on the draft and guess who gets to start the whole mailing all over again tomorrow? The man tried to make a joke about it and be humorous in the email. Trust me there is NOTHING funny about it ;/ Unless of course you are my manager!
OK back to cardmaking and writing for Craft Critique ;) Thanks for reading.
