Congratulations to the new Squigglefly Design Team

Today was the official announcement for the new Squigglefly Design Team for the first half of 2011. The team is very strong and talented and for several this is their first time on a design team. I've added their names to my blog roll on my side bar. A really neat group of ladies and I do hope you'll check out their blogs and leave them some love.

You'll see that I have been asked to stay on to help moderate the Paper Craft Planet forum. Leading the Scrapbook News and Review (aka SNR) forum is Patricia St. Martin. Pat and I have been planning some neat stuff for 2011 and there are going to some exciting things in store for the new year including some combined challenges and some other fun stuff.

*If I am so excited about the new DT why did it take me so long to post about it?*
Good question! I made my card (featuring Vain Attempt by artist Brian Lock) last night. I decided to take the photo and post early this morning. The following is an example of how a great plan can go awry!

1) We overslept this morning.
2) After we got kiddo on the bus my husband decided to play 200 questions and talk to me about every thought he has had in the last15 years! So I couldn't concentrate to get my post done. So I formatted the picture and put it on my jump drive to take to work.
3) I needed gas so I filled up and got caught by a train on my way to work. A long train.
4) Got to work and started printing some files. Was just about to throw up a quick blog post when there was a knock on the door to our office suite.
5) Surprise! Two of our out of town clients showed up at our office unannounced after driving 9 hours last night. I had to stop what I was doing and host them until my manager arrived (he had just called me to tell me he was on the way so it didn't take too long). Nothing like just showing up at someone's office without an appointment.
6) Just one of those days and as I tried to sneak in some lunch at 1:45, I popped my jump drive in my USB port and it wouldn't work. The jump drive works fine at home so it is one of those things which I'm not going to waste my effort.
7) Stayed at work late because just as I finished a rush project, I was told the owner of the company forgot to make a change to some of the copy so I get to do the whole project again tomorrow. Fun times!
8) Kiddo did not want to do her homework (so 15 minutes of math homework turned into a much longer session.) Why don't kids understand that if they just sit down and do the work they can finish and then go have more time for FUN!
What a day!
Finally, I got the chance to update the new DT blog roll and create this blog post!

New images from In a Scrap Creations

In A Scrap Creations has launched a new line of exclusive digital images by artists such as Tracey Malnofski, Heather Dennis and Maureen Kuppe. I was honored to be invited to create some samples for the launch. The image above is called "Trenton" drawn by Tracey Malnofski.

You can see the rest of the images and more samples by the other design team members, Melissa and Alecia.

All Christmas Trees are perfect

I love this image! It is called "I Heart Christmas Trees" and was drawn by artist Jane Beljo for Squigglefly. I found the coaster with the sentiment in my stash of Christmas stuff.

Speaking of Squigglefly, the new design team has been chosen and they are a really talented bunch of ladies. You'll be seeing their workm in the new year. I'll be staying on to help moderate their forum along with my partner in crime, Patricia St. Martin. Some exciting stuff in the works for 2011.

Here in western NY we are experiencing bands of lake effect snow. I have been shoveling several times per day for the last few days and boy is it an upper body workout! I'm so sore. Today, I called in to work for a "Snow Day" and in between shoveling I made 4 cards and finished a 5th from last night. You'll see more tomorrow.
