Upcycle Blog Hop (+ Blog Candy)

Welcome to Scrappy Scavenger's Upcycle Blog Hop for September. Hopefully, you have arrived here from Amy's blog. If not you can start the hop from Tanya's blog. Next stop on the hop is Haidee's blog.

For my project, I re-purposed a plastic vitamin bottle and made it into a bottle of faux nail polish which was inspired by this project. The label is computer generated and the nail polish image is from the Makeup Kit set by artist Chesney Young for Squigglefly. With the proper safety modifications, this could be a really cute for a little girl who wanted to paint her nails like her mom or older sister.

As I was writing this post, I discovered I made a mistake on my project. So leave me a comment and tell me what my mistake was and you can win that stamps shown below. Even if you don't see the mistake, leave a comment and you might still win (because I am really nice!) Tell me what my mistake was and I'll add an extra treat to the blog candy. I'll use a random number generator to select a winner on Tuesday 9/20 at 6pm EST.
Thank you very much for hopping by!

What a cute idea to make for my 4yo granddaughter! Just a question thoi': what does headlinging mean? LOL I thinkI found the mistake! But we can chalk it up to a typo, right?!

Very cute, my little granddaughter would love it. Is there an extra g in the Headlining? :-)

I think you combined headline and bling and came up with a new word! very cute project - I know a couple of young girls who would love to pretend to paint their nails with this!

So you prefer to use HeadlING-ing nail enamel?! Cute. I brains tend to skip over those things. This project is cute. This is perfect for the littlest girls who want to be pretty and play dress up. How fun!!

Nice to hop host with you. No need to enter me in the drawing.

Great idea and you could fill it with a 'safe' liquid for little girls.
Mistake? did you mean to write 'Headlinging' instead of headlining? also, I was wondering if it was just the camera angle, but does the nail brush go all the way to the bottom of the jar? TFS Heather! What font did you use on the label? I'm following you now too :)

Heather this is GREAT! I LOVE the way yours turned out. Thanks for linking back to my project. Now to answer your question - is it the spelling of "headlining"?

Im wondering if the color is wrong? Tulip red, the tissue looks kind of plum?

Tee hee!!! Stephanie this is so fun!! And I hardly noticed the headlinging instead of the headligning 'mistake'! lol Great idea for a little girl's party don't you think? You could even add party favors etc. Cute!
